How Creative IT (UK) Ltd, trading as Physical Data Recovery, uses the personal data you give us.
Who we are
Creative IT (UK) Ltd (company no. 05022253), Unit 1, 80 Willow Walk, London SE1 5SY, is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact: support@physicaldatarecovery.co.uk.
What we collect through the quote form
Your name, email address, and optionally your company, phone number and postcode, along with the details you give about your device and the fault. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. The form sets one strictly necessary session cookie to protect it against automated abuse; it expires when you close your browser.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to carry out the recovery and return your data. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract.
Data on your device
We access files on your device only as far as needed to recover them and confirm the recovery worked. We don't copy, share or keep your recovered data beyond what's needed to complete the job, and working copies are deleted once you confirm you have your files.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't go ahead are deleted within 12 months. Customer and invoice records are kept for six years to meet UK accounting rules.
Sharing
We don't sell or share your details for marketing. We use an email provider and web host to run the service, and couriers if you ask us to arrange delivery.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it, by emailing support@physicaldatarecovery.co.uk. If you're unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
